In a world often fractured by conflict and hardship, I wanted to explore how kindness can restore what’s been broken. This piece—a shattered vinyl record repaired with golden seams—draws from the Japanese art of Kintsugi, symbolizing resilience, healing, and transformation. And the lyrics of “Be More Kind” by Frank Turner. It’s a metaphor for the children War Child supports: their scars remain, but through compassion and care, they become part of a new, powerful story. Through this concept, I explored how creativity (both in art and music) can turn brokenness into beauty and encourage compassion as a powerful force for change.
